We are committed to protecting your privacy and the security of your personal information. The objective of this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) is to explain how we handle your personal information. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of personal information and other information in accordance with this policy. This Privacy Policy may change from time to time and it is therefore important you review it regularly on our Service.

We collect information in a few different ways

1. When you give it to us or give us permission to obtain it

When you sign up for or use Surfn you voluntarily share certain information including your name, email address, interests, posts, comments, and any other information you give us. We will use your IP address for security reasons, such as preventing spam attacks, and other forms of malicious behavior. You will also have the option to share other information about yourself, such as your billing information, if you decide to upgrade to a paid pricing plan.For example, if you are a Free Plan User we will ask you to provide your email address and username. If you are a Paid Plan User we will also ask for your full name, billing email address, billing address and payment method in order to facilitate billing.To opt-out of marketing communications we send you at any time. You can exercise this right by clicking on the “unsubscribe” or “opt-out” link in the marketing e-mails we may send you. You may also provide personal information voluntarily if you respond to our surveys, marketing materials, or through your participation in trade promotions and competitions we may run from time to time.

2. We also get technical information when you use Surfn

When you use a website, mobile application or other internet service, certain internet and electronic network activity information gets created and logged automatically. This is also true when you use Surfn. Here are some of the types of information we collect:‍

• Log data. When you use Surfn, our servers record information (“log data”), including information that your browser automatically sends whenever you visit a website, or that your mobile app automatically sends when you’re using it. This log data includes your Internet Protocol address (which we use to infer your approximate location), the address of and activity on websites you visit that incorporate Surfn features (like the “Add” button—more details below), posts, browser type and settings, the date and time of your request, how you used Surfn, cookie data and device data.
• Cookie data. We also use “cookies” (small text files sent by your computer each time you visit our website, unique to your Surfn account or your browser) or similar technologies to get log data. When we use cookies or other similar technologies, we use session cookies (that last until you close your browser) or persistent cookies (that last until you or your browser delete them). For example, we use cookies to store your language preferences or other settings so you don‘t have to set them up every time you visit Surfn. Some of the cookies we use are associated with your Surfn account (including information about you, such as the email address you gave us) and other cookies are not. • Device information. In addition to log data, we collect information about the device you’re using Surfn on, including the type of device, operating system, settings, unique device identifiers and crash data that helps us understand when something breaks.
• Clickstream data and inferences. When you’re on Surfn, we use your activity—such as which posts you view or share—along with information you provided when you first signed up to make inferences about you and your preferences. For example, if you view posts about fitness, we may infer you are a fitness enthusiast.
